Why collaborative murals are great for teams - an infographic

A few years ago, I came up with this concept of doing collaborative murals as a team building activity. I’m definitely not to first person to think about this, murals, due to their large size, have always been somewhat of a collaborative effort. But bringing it into the setting of a company painting, I can say that I thought of that myself. (Although I’m sure other people do it too in other places, because it’s just too much fun.)

Why do teams like collaborative murals?

During the team painting projects that I have done in the past, a few comments from participants have come up again and again. People usually love that:

  • they can do something with their hands and can spend creative time with their teammates

  • they have a visual that they can look at every day that reminds them of their mission and their connection to their team

  • they make their office a space that is welcoming and personal
